Exactly what it says on the tin -- a PDF, between 8-16 pages; covering one ship type, Minor House, or similar; at a commensurately-reduced price.

Umm.. if you are wanting to write such, send ICE a proposal, and we can go from there....

Seriously what is really needed is an ICE ship builder. Most of use the other freebie but the reality is a ship builder would be fantastic.
I see other companies try all sorts and IMO there is only one company getting it right.
Games Workshop could go to PDF and sale loads but instead it relies on 'DTFs'. It has a wonderful yet inaccessable back catalogue. This could be opened up catering for different thems over the year. But the stress is always to buy new.
15mm.co.uk has got PDFs and DTFs and nice mini range. However it is trying to bring out an 'alternative' gaming magazine... that is not a PDF. This makes no sense as old mags clutter up corners where as PDFs do not.
SJG has a huge range and reallies on a mixture of PDFs and DTFs. Small scale stuff is normally all PDF. Back catalogue is being PDF. The PDF is nigh king. Also for it's main product GURPS it has a character designer and hell yeah that is complicated and it works.
ICE's SD has the mix right but it needs that Ship Designer (@ $10(?) it will sell).
It also needs quick reference sheets. All in weapon sheets, pts, slots, ranges (demonstrating both styles), SRs, damage, ammo.
May be a revamp on the turn structure. I would like to see Drift at the end of the turn, it has tactical implication as well as inconvience. Another issue is weapon ammo cost pts, but it is over rated because it's the gun that does damage, free ammo cost but it still takes up slots (exception of torps and missiles).
House reference sheets that confirm what houses use what ships.
Some standardisation, such as initiative rolls using d4, d6, d8, d10 depending on pilot skill (it's an optional rule but it would be nice to standardise it).
PDF a rules update.
Some of the refits are nice but it is getting messy and need to be sorted out. Maybe sorted alphabetically.
Take designs from the players. We have loads and it will let you get on with marketing rather than total command of full production.
Yours constructively
