the lightning bolt design is really cool.
does that map have blue lines? I don't recall ever seeing a spacemap with blue lines.

They are, indeed, blue lines. The map is from FASA's(?) Renegade Legions.

As there isn't an incredible amount of color material showing house colors, schemes and insignia, my paint jobs are not, necessarily, reflective of whether they're merc forces, house forces or pirates.
I use the figs as I see fit depending on what's being played that day.
One day, when I have more money and figs that I know what to do with, I paint specific factions.
