Demo Demo Demo! THAT IMHO is how you get people interested in any game (as long as it doesn't include inflicting physical pain on the players, anyway!).[

I suggest that you put together to evenly matched warbands, and start running some games at your local school, library, game club(s), game stores, and/or conventions. I personally have been sloooowly (due to many other commitments) building up several themed fantasy warbands for BladeStorm:
*Wood Elves. Classic Mark Copplestone figures from Grenadier.
*Orcs & Trolls. Mainly Prince August/Mithril Miniatures Lord of the Rings figures.
*Samurai. My old historical/L5R figures given a new lease on life! [8D]
*Barbarians. A mixture of my historical Vikings and Copplestone and Metal Magic (Michael Imming and Josef Ochmann IIRC) figures, with a Barbarian Wooly War Rhino model from grenadier (It's a HUUUGE beastie!).
*Undead. Old Glory Miniatures Vampire Wars figures.
*MesoAmericans. Mexica (aka Aztecs), Tlaxcalans, and Huetzoxingans, with plans to add some mythical critters latter on (I need a decent feathered serpent for starters!).
*Medieval Europeans. Typical European Middle Ages riff-raff inspired by my aristocratic French ancestors and their hapless followers.
The beauty of BladeStorm IMHO is that one can build up some very colourful warbands with a modest outlay of money, time, and effort, and still have a great time. Historical, Gothic Horror, and other subjects will fit in as well as fanatsy figures, and provide an almost endless variety of styles, subjects, and poses. Big critters and small, fantastic and mundane, all can be incorporated into BladeStorm.
So don't despair! Get out there and run some demos! post inquiries on The Miniatures Page (TMP) and elsewhere looking for opponents and/or people interested in playing BladeStorm in your area. You might be surprised who is out there looking for a fun skirmish system for fantasy miniatures...[
